Buenos Aires, November 15 (NA) — Following a fire in Carlos Spegazzini caused by a massive explosion at the local industrial park — allegedly linked to agrochemicals — Franco Armani's house was affected, and the goalkeeper could not sleep at his home. The incident caused a blast wave that reached up to four kilometers, and according to the Argentine News Agency, within that radius is Armani's home, which suffered material damage. Although he was not at his home at the time of the disaster, the scare was significant, especially as at least 20 injuries were registered in the area. The damage to the 'Octopus's' house was not serious, but authorities prevented his return due to the presence of chemicals in the environment and the preventive closure of the neighborhood. The toxic smoke cloud, visible from various points in the southern conurbation, forced the evacuation of residents and the deployment of a major operation with firefighters, the Buenos Aires Police, and emergency services, which worked for hours to control the flames that reached 20 meters in height. Armani and his family had to move to a hotel for safety until the situation normalizes, something that will be defined in the coming hours according to environmental monitoring. The home remained inaccessible throughout the night due to risks from chemicals, while firefighters continued to cool the area to prevent new outbreaks. Fortunately, no member of the goalkeeper's family was injured. In parallel, health authorities reported that the injured were taken to the Ezeiza Interzonal Hospital and other health centers in Canning, while awaiting the results of the investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
